My inspiration for this style is a blend of historical moments... the elegant perfume of French salon couture mixed with the petroleum fumes of teen rebellion, under a high gloss fashion sheen. The complex structural volume of the chignon takes us back to the high-rise hair of big band ballrooms, while the rockabilly front and mohawk shape give us more than a hint of teenage thirst for fast cars and rock music. The texture and volume of this style remind us of 80's nightclub divas. Meanwhile, clothes and makeup complete the look with a refined black-and-white formality.
